ᴺS. !cav-, v. “to receive, accept” [created by Paul Strack] (Category: to Get, Obtain): G. tû- “to get, receive, take; to become”

A neologism coined by Paul Strack in 2018 specifically for Eldamo as a derivative of √KAB; compare Q. cav- or Q. cam- “receive” of similar derivation (VT47/21). It was created to replace the “receive” sense of G. tû- “receive; take; get; become” (GL/71). I would also use cav- for “accept”, as in [ᴺS.] cavren “acceptable” to replace G. tuvrin of the same meaning.
