N. farn adj. and pron. “enough” (Category: Enough)
A word in The Etymologies of the 1930s glossed “enough” derived from the root ᴹ√PHAR “reach, go all the way, suffice” (Ety/PHAR; EtyAC/PHAR). It might function as either an adjective or a pronoun, for example: sa nen farn “that [is] enough water” vs. sa farn “that [is] enough”.
Conceptual Development: The Gnomish Lexicon of the 1910s had G. farn “mark, boundary; shore” (GL/34). Early Noldorin word-lists had ᴱN. farn without any translation (PE13/143).
