ᴺQ. !uvaimata- v. “to take off (of clothes), disrobe” (Category: to Clothe, Dress)
A neologism for “take off (of clothes), disrobe” coined by Paul Strack specifically for Eldamo, a negated form of [ᴱQ.] vaimata- “[en]robe”. In a 2026-05-23 post to the Vinyë Lambengolmor Discord Server (VLDS), Luinyelle instead suggested þimya- “take off (clothes), doff” based on the Neo-Root ᴺ√THIM “skim” and inspired by Proto-Finnish which means both “skim” and “undress”, but I think this is stretching the root too far and prefer the more transparent uvaimata-.
